According to the Qur'an, Mary the mother of Jesus is also the sister of Aaron. Yet Mary and Aaron lived more than a thousand years apart. Can Muslim ignore this clear error?

  • when the Quran says 'Mary the sister of Aaron' its not literal. She comes from the household and progeny of the brother of Moses who's name is..... AARON!!!!!!

my advise to Christians is to read their own book first and see the contradiction in it. Read a book called the red letter bible. It has all the quotes of Jesus without the paul, mathew, mark, luke and john writtings in it. And see exactly what Jesus SAID and what muslims believe. They are one and the same.

  • @nubemuffin Great point! Muhammad sure made it hard for the Muslims to straighten out his mess.God Bless.

  • @8casm Miryam (the sister of Moshe and Aharon) was from the house of Levi. Miryam (the mother of Yeshua) is from the house of Judah. Sorry, but the Qur'an has *GASP* an error!

  • ==Word brother and sister Used in the Quran To denote of descendant

    (84) And unto Midian (We sent) their brother, Shu'eyb.

    Surah Al-Araf

Prophet Shoaib is not a brother of midian But of their descendants

  • ps..I am not saying you don't have the right to question religion in order to understand. why don't you do the same thing to the Bible, especially catholic, i am sure you will find many errors and contraditions.

  • you are very smug and arrogant. If you have opinions, which is all this is, it is ok, but you don't have to be so arrogant. everything is open to interpretation and it depends on the person who is interpreting it: their beliefs..etc.

  • @8casm

If with "red letter bible" you mean the ones where Jesus' words are printed in red, you couldn't be more wrong than assuming that he teaches the same as Muslims believe.

If I go through major parts where Jesus is speaking - the sermon of the mount, for instance - I can tell so many things where Islam teaches different. There is not much "red printed" left if you remove everything that would stand against Islam. Not to mention how often Jesus said he would die.
