Brief in english: A law is pushed in Finland that would give corporations and communities broader rights than the police to control internet traffic - lacking the same supervision of legality. This "Lex Nokia" would aot. compromise journalist source protection - breaking European Convention on Human Rights.

Tässä vähän Suomi-brändi työryhmälle purtavaa.

Lex Nokian vastainen mielenosoitus 5.2 klo 14:30 Asema-aukiolla, Helsingissä
http://valvonta.info/

Leväperäisesti valtuuksia jakeleva Urkintalaki (HE 48/2008) alias Lex Nokia on laajasta kansalaisten ja oikeusoppineiden vastustuksesta huolimatta edennyt eduskuntaan saakka.

  • The law was passed on the pretext that its application would be monitored by government officials. But today's news tell us that the Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK) wants to ban the monitoring of Internet surveillance activities. This would mean that the monitoring of Internet surveillance would be left to private businesses and organisations. In other words, the law does not rule out the possibility of abuses after all, although it was passed in the confidence that it cannot be abused.

  • Yeah. Nokias 1,5 billion taxes are very big encumburance for coverment.

  • it would be great if nokia moves to another country. then finland would save a lot of money. coverment has payed a lot for many years now and that should be enough allready.
