Nexus the Jupiter Incident Star trek-Universe at war

With the release of a few games base of sci-fi series like Star Trek Online and Stargate Resistance. I remembered Nexus the Jupiter Incident, a game very few people seem to knows unlike Homeworld series or Sins of a Solar Empire. Nexus the Jupiter Incident never reached it's full potential as it was suppose to when named Imperium Galactica III. But still have some really impressive capacities and a few mod maker took advantage of this by making amazingly good looking mods. Star trek Universe at war mod is probably one of them.

This video feature a mission I created myself in less then 10 min, thanks to the Skirmisher mod and the very easy mission editor that the game provide. I put the game in cinematic mod so the AI controls the ship and camera with a good looking result. I hope you will enjoy even is space games don't attract as many people as other type of games...

You should try the enhanced combat version of this mod available at Moddb for N:TJI.

yeah i did try it, but not sure i like the changes.

Maybe you should tell the mod maker of enhanced combat what you liked and didn't like about his refinement of the mod. I'm sure s/he could use the feedback.

Mind you, I think Enhanced Combat certainly has a bigger chance of getting finished than Universe at War ever will.

Indeed.

the reason why i prefer this version is mostly because it's visually more color full, with over sized photon lazer and explosions. That make good looking videos. While the Enhanced combat seem to aim for more "realism" with the result of a less eye candy experience. The range of the fights are also much wider in enhanced combat, while that's good for gameplay, it's less good looking in videos.

EC don't really need improvement, it's just that for videos Universe at war look better.

This combat system in a master of orion 2 remake would be great.

@baronsengir187 look for X3 Terran Conflict. Combat is not so tactical as in Nexus, but the graphics are better
