How hard can this era be when the NBA changed ALL of its perimeter defensive rules to FAVOR wing scorers?

Only 3 perimeter guys were in the Top 10 in scoring & avg'd at least 23ppg under the old rules. With the new rules that # jumped to 11 and they saw a 23% increase in scoring and 4% increase in FG%.

Only 64 teams in history allowed fewer than 101 pts per 100 possessions. 1993-04 (old rules) saw 48 teams do it, meaning 7 of those seasons are from the 90s ALONE!

They fell 1 game short of being eligible for making the 8th seed that year. Him missing those # of games due to his knee injury is what caused them to just miss getting in.

And the fans DID vote him in '03.

It was the media that pressured VC to let MJ have the "starting" position, but not give up his position on the team entirely.
