Awesome story behind the name Clancy's Tavern. It's his Grandmother who ran a Tavern to support herself and family after she was widowed. Always liked the story behind the song, it completes the picture. I am Canadian but you Yanks should be proud of an artist who has this much pride in his country and family!

@Suerreal Definitely agree with you on this one: the acoustic just FEELS more honest and heartfelt... Just saw him doing this acoustic, and live, on The Early Show (Thanksgiving morning), and so glad I found an acoustic video here so I could listen again...

This acoustic version is even more awesome than the one on the CD, which is saying a lot. This is a truly wonderful song, and what a great tribute to his grandmother.
