People think this is the worst song on ATS. I disagree. To me, actually, the music itself is more symbolic than the lyrics. The whole theme of ATS is the apocalypse. The music in all of the songs on the album represent the crazy shit in an apocalypse and how it escalates. Listen to The Catalyst, and that's the moment of the Earth's demise. The music here shows how everything is peaceful after it's all over, kind of how it will be when we're gone.

I completely understand ATS. Its a concept album meaning to be listened to start to end without interruptions. The story the album tells about a war causing an apocalypse with nuclear weapons and the songs like Blackout is passing out, Iridescent is having to deal with the pain and Waiting For The End is waiting for it to all end and I'm gonna guess that When They come For Me is waiting for help to arrive.

I love this album. I can just get so many wonderful and awesome pictures in my head of what the music is playing about. Say I sometimes picture the world going back on itself to this song. Everything starts again, from the Dinosaurs to Civilization. Not many albums actually do that.
