OpenStreetMap, from the Kabul Airport to Jalalabad

This shows how and why I use OpenStreetMap. I wanted to show a concrete example of it in the field. I use it on my phone to have a map of Afghanistan I can use without an internet connection. I can also use the GPS on the phone to track my routes and improve the quality of OpenStreetMap

Thanks for the video. I'd read about mapdroyd, but it's great to see a demo. I was seriously considering a Garminfone or n900 to have maps without cell service; good to know I can use any decent android phone.

Try out OpenMaps for the iPhone too if you want to edit OSM on the go.
