I fucking LOVE the Flame Demon boss fight music, so goddamn epic.
In the end, Gaspard was a pretty sad villain motivation-wise, quite simple and human. That's why I love Level-5 Games, they always make such simple but human characters in their work.
Also I gotta say, for a game in 2002, that's some actually decent voice acting.

Fun note, when the demon stops being on fire, he's about to use his most powerful attack. It takes about 100 years for him to initiate it, so you need to stop attacking to ever see it.
