Let's Play Pokemon Yellow No Pokecenters No Marts Run Part 1

Sorry about the banner, it will be gone in all future videos, everything else will be live narration.

What we have here folks is a playthrough of Pokemon Yellow for the Game Boy with a very unique set of rules/restrictions.

No healing at Pokecenters whatsoever.
No purchasing any items at a mart or spending money in anyway that is not required to advance further in the run.
No glitch abuse
No healing at Pokemon Tower or in Silph Co.
You can only use the items that you find or are given to you for free.
Catching pokemon in the Safari Zone is illegal.

A big shout out to Cote and Kamon from the TPX xat for assisting me in various parts of the run, be sure to check out cote1616pb's no pokecenter run of pokemon blue which inspired me to attempt this run. I look forward to all your comments.

So why are you tackling twice then switching? Isnt it better to tackle once and then switch to have more PP?

@Goldendriger In the end tackle has to be used up eventually anyways, sure I could use more thundershocks, but this is just what seemed to worked best for me. In no way do I think this is the only way of doing it and there's probably something even more optimal, but I went with what seemed to be the most consistent.

Honestly, I don't think so. There's just sooooooo much that can go wrong. If you get slept ONCE at the wrong time, it's pretty much over. As your test showed, it's POSSIBLE, but it's just so Farfetch'd to get the run to that optimal level of stuff happening.

I think/want the Giants to win. They're just so ridiculously clutch in the playoffs, I just don't see anything else happening in the game. I'm not saying the Pats CAN'T win; they're probably the 3rd best overall team in the league this year.

@TheMaykarLocomotive Don't get me wrong I in no way think the Patriots are just going to run over the Giants. I certainly have seen how resilient they've been throughout the season.

However, no one mentions that the Patriots are also on a 10 game winning streak, and Brady scored 6 TDs on arguably decent Broncos D. I just feel Brady is going to jump at this opportunity for redemption.

@TheMaykarLocomotive I think that it is unlikely that they will, merely because of how fiery and dominant the Giants have been.
