@SeasonsForgotten I also loved Nickel Creek, but being negative towards one band just because its the other doesn't make sense. All music is beautiful and limiting oneself with overzealous loyalty to one band means you are not enjoying art, or life in general, to its fullest. I know this is an old post, but I feel this is an important topic for Nickel Creek fans. Life is too short to rob yourself of the enjoyment a band may bring you, just because they aren't Nickel Creek.

For such obvious, incredible skill... this is impressively underwhelming.
>_>
...No offense.

The title of the piece is Bach Sonata #1 in Gm- BWV 1001- Presto movement
if you would like to add it so it shows up in the search results, thank you

@jazzfolkrocker clever man

as good as he is - for my taste there's too much plektrum noise

@jazzfolkrocker I GET IT.
I really should try to get into The Punch Brothers more and not be such a downer about them, but I still have such a strong loyalty towards Nickel Creek. Either way, Chris Thile makes both bands. This was a Punch Brothers show right?

@SeasonsForgotten Yes, it was for their Antifogmatic album, and this was the first encore before the rest of the band came out. As an aspiring mandolin player (i've been playing almost 2 years after coming from many years studying other instruments), I see the technical skill and finesse that Thile has as something anybody can appreciate, regardless of the band. I'm also a huge fan of Noam's work on banjo, though the instrument itself is foreign to me. anyone can appreciate great musicianship.
