@zidane81 as if it is that simple

Well of course you have to do what the directors want and you are obviously highly skilled at doing that (and your vids are excellent) but I do think, that as a society we are obsessed by removing so called blemishes. I really think we should celibrate these so called imperfections - they are perfectly natural. Anyway didn't mean to turn your site into a rant. Best wishes steve

is there a millionaire on here that would like to buy me one of those cameras? I can pay you back later.

i recently purchased the Canon A1 and was planning on shooting a film...the reason being it was the best camera i could afford...do u think this camera is ideal for film distribution in theaters if i was too convert the final release too 35mm???
Nicely done video but I don't understand peoples obsession with 'airbrushing' out peoples every so called blemish...wrinkles are a part of being human and we shouldnt try and look like plastic dolls.

You really think it's an "obsession?" SD never allowed for this level of detail to be seen, and most television film viewers would never have accepted Robert Redford, Brad Pitt, Tammy Faye Bakker, nor Madonna had there not been heavy makeup available. HD makes that makeup visible. There needs to be a way of smoothing skin blemish on the average person for HD to be acceptable.
You do have the option to not use it...

very interesting... can this skin softening be performed in post for those of us without the feature on the camera? Any vegas plug in?

You could use secondary color correction in Vegas to create a mask of the skin area, and apply blur to the mask...but it's much easier to do in-camera.
