Lennart and Daan - Beat It

In this video we are playing the solo part from Beat It by Michael Jackson. The solo is originally played by Van Halen.

Lennart, http://nl.youtube.com/user/LennartIbanez, is playing the solo, and I, http://nl.youtube.com/user/DaanJM, am playing the rhythm.

We both made some mistakes, but in general, we're satisfied with it.

The gear we used in this video is:
- Ibanez Jem 7vw (Lennart)
- Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus-Top (Daan)
- Peavey Valveking 112
- Boss GT-8 (in the FX loop of the Peavey, and we were just using a delay for the solo part (played by Lennart))
- Audix F-50 dynamic mic
- Roland Microcube (used as a mic stand XD).

The same amp settings are used for both parts, exept for the delay. The delay on the GT-8 is engaged for the solo part. There's no delay for the rhythm.

Ja is wel mooi ding. Vooral voor bij thuis is ie erg bruikbaar. Plug hem in VOOR je kleine oefenversterkertje, en hij komt meteen tot leven. Ook op zichzelf, met een koptelefoon ingeplugd klinkt ie erg goed. En mijn 2 nieuwste video's heb ik ermee opgenomen zonder versterker, alleen de GT-8 dus.

Moet je vooral doen, is echt vet als je een beetje gitaar kunt spelen. Je moet vooral veel oefenen, een van de weinige "geheimen" achter het gitaarspelen. Ik weet niet of hij die kan, moet je hem vragen. Zijn youtube account is "lennartibanez". Er staat wel een link in de beschrijving van deze video.
