Chalfont picked up a useful win over Slough this afternoon which keeps them firmly in the hunt for the play off places, whilst Slough relied on other results to retain their spot at the top of the table.

On a bumpy surface, Slough settled into the game well and took the lead through Alex Brown, the defender netting his second goal in as many games. Chalfont levelled the scoreline on the stroke of half time, after Slough had lost Ben Abbey through injury, with Strutton slamming home after Warrington half cleared a corner.

The second half saw the pace of the home side cause problems for the Rebels defence and Strutton was again on hand to power the ball home past Warrington.

Despite the dismissal of Adam Logie for two bookable offences, Slough pushed numbers forwards but could not find a way through the home defence and went down to their first defeat in twelve games.
