Coffee Party: How We Began

Coffee Party USA gives voice to Americans who want to see cooperation in government. We recognize that the federal government is not the enemy of the people, but the expression of our collective will, and that we must participate in the democratic process in order to address the challenges that we face as Americans. As voters and grassroots volunteers, we will support leaders who work toward positive solutions, and hold accountable those who obstruct them.

That's our mission statement, as it stands right now. This video is a more extemporaneous statement of purpose for the Coffee Party.

We filmed this pn Feb. 10, 2010, outside of Salon Rouge in Dupont Circle while waiting for Salim Michel to finish up with a client. Moments later we shot Salim's video.

The Tea Party is lame. Nothing but a bunch of mad extremists. Their arguments and interpretations are often bias, irrational, politically motivated, or just blatant lies. Examples are the ridiculous lies about Obama's health reform, his citizenship, and OneQuestion99's twist on our involvement in Libya.

Here's why the Tea Party gets a lot more attention; the media loves searching for entertaining events. And what's more entertaining than a bunch of old white people dressed as the Founding Fathers screaming about how Obama's a Muslim Communist. Americans, with our low intelligence and brief attention span, love this kind of stuff. The Coffee Party, with its rational reasoning and calm demeanor, gets no media attention because Americans can't handle intellectualism.

That we will be paying for it wont be free it will be more taxes we ALL have to pay .I will be paying yours and you will be paying mine .Its is unconstitutional Gov cannot force us to buy goods and or service's from anyone .Each state can that is why Car ins is mandated by the state .That and if the state didnt make such laws Fed would hold back monies for road projects our money .No stay the hell out of my wallet NOT a request
