We went on a great trip to Eleuthera in November 2010. We stayed at the sunset beach house at Cape Eleuthera resort & marina. The resort is located at the northern tip of cape eleuthea, which extends out into the caribbean from the south end of the island. The beaches that we found were un beleivable. We did some research before we left the states, and brought a couple of GPS' with us to aid in finding some of the most remote, but absolutly stunning beaches. The roads, or in most cases for us the two tracks that we used to get to these beaches are poorly marked, if at all. We also rented a 4WD Explorer for the week so we had unlimited transportation, well worth it. The only time we ran into anyone else at any of the beaches we went to was at Lighthouse point beach. Their was 2-3 other people on the west side of the point, we went on the east side of the point which is the most stunning, and also the best for snorkeling as there is a huge coral reef extending far down the beach, and you can also snorkle to the southern tip where there is three little islets extending south off the tip. These are clearly seen on the video near the middle of my movie. On the second islet at the top of a small cliff we observed a pair of nesting Ospery. Just one of the many thrills we encountered on our exploration of Eleuthera
