  • Beautiful car!! You see the specs on it? 28mph and up to 70 mile range. No different than today really. Tesla himself drove a modified 1931 Pierce-Arrow powered by electricity for long periods of time - and at speeds of up to 90mph, very fast in comparison to the driving speeds of the day. The technology was there back then with the exception of battery technology, but even back the Tesla found a way around that. Too bad no one listened to Tesla.

  • @woodchuck2222 I know...

  • Amazing display of early technology in how to save the environment. But with no steering wheel? There is a device that allows you to control this car.Did you see it or miss it?

  • the "steering wheel" is there. at :59 seconds you will see a rod sticking out. this steers the car by moving it"swinging" it. and at the end of the rod is a "grip" this is the throttle. kinda like a motorcycle throttle. thanks for asking. you twist the grip on the end to make it go.

  • ,<b> at :59 sec. you see a rudder sticking into the drivers area. you steer with that and turn the end of it like a motorcycle (sure you know about them) for the throttle. see, you learned something today.

  • Wow! Look how far we've come!!

Hold on, can I take that back?

  • @DJMisT0910 you are the idiot here. If you were not a young punk kid you would realize that the car was made that way from the factory. It was not modified in any way. Yes, battery operated cars were around back then. Next time educate yourself before you show how ignorant you really are.

  • @nashtwin8 i guess they went under in part because they refused to modernise! you are right, it is extremely old-fashioned, i seriously wonder why they didnt make something more modern... and in larger numbers!

  • awesome

  • @mpopean because some 'd "earn" less that way

  • ...you can Edison and his freemason buddies for that, and just think how much of our "energy" they have been stealing ever since...

  • @mpopean Actually, this car was very old-fashioned in 1932. The electric car's heyday ended about 1910.

  • @XboobtubeX Yes, you're right. That control is called a "tiller".

  • This is proof that the electric car has been the future of motoring for a long time, A VERY LONG TIME! even now we are still waiting!
