They land on your fingers, they eat up sugar morning and night, and they even invade my house! They swarm all day long! This video was recorded all in one day.

Please before posting incorrect information give this a read through: http://www.hummingbirds.net/hainsworth.html
Hummingbirds don't get sick from eating "too much" sugar, they just feed less frequently. If you want to attract hummers use a rich mixture to initially attract them, you can then cut the sugar down to see more activity from the same birds who will feed more often, or you can leave the sugar the same but you may not see them feeding quite as often.
I use a mixture of roughly 6 cups of sugar per 15 cups of water, give or take a bit and store it in the fridge. I've been feeding hummers for over 8 years at our current home and I get loads of them coming back every year. :)

  • Amazing video. How long have you been able to have the hummingbirds land on you?

  • @graymen699 They'll stay on your hands for as long as they are eating the food, sometimes 10 seconds, sometimes up to a minute. :)

  • lol 1:15 did you hold the camera with your face?

  • @CowieMooCowxo87 Nope, was just zooming in lol. :)

  • Wow. I did the Exact same thing outside Lillooet one year just past Lytton. Most beautiful places on earth exist in BC, Canada. Love and light my friend.

  • @mordsith05 Small world, I live halfway between Lillooet and Lytton. This year hasn't seen the amount of hummers we usually get but I think it's because our weather has been a lot cooler than normal.
