Take a part time job at one of your stores

Forget the career, forget about school
Can she live on faith? live on hope?

I don't see how anyone can be for min wage, but against the government. Minimum wage is responsible for unemployment. It makes it hard to get a job without previous experience. It makes it more profitable for employers to hire illegal immigrants off the books who don't pay taxes, or ship the jobs entirely overseas. It is a restriction on personal freedom and it is bad for everyone, but mostly the poor. Would you eat at McDonnalds if the employees made $2/hr? I wouldn't.

It doesn't matter, republican or democrat, I don't see anyone trying to make the government smaller during their terms, only more and more laws to restrict the freedoms we used to have, the liberals don't care about letting people have their money to spend and the conservatives only care about big business and big handouts. A true conservative would let a business fail no matter how big.
