This country makes me think of another corrupt country uhhmmm what wasd it a...? America THATS IT! good going putin you fucked russia so bad that its nearing the 'America status'
-
This corruption is not entirely on Russia...fraud happened here in the states more then once. Ike for one, Gore another etc. Regardless this needs to be stopped, it doesn't prove gov is at the core but it shows incompetence. Fire those responsible - let the people in on the truth and move on. I believe this is taken way out of porportion in our media but no matter its disgusting and must be dealt with. I support UP, I think they're out for good and this is just another matter for them to tackle.

The most important thing is for the Russian people to take practical steps to fight this level of corruption. Those who are making efforts already: keep going! No country will ever be perfect. The odd dodgy deal goes on in every country. But a few well organised, practical procedures before and during election time could well help. Obsession with political theory will do nothing. I admit I am not native Russian, but have taken an interest in this issue, and listened to Russian blogs.

@Yetze Continuation to the comment below... The thing with integration is that if done properly its a good thing but it doesn't help with current debt crisis, as if we cut money from richer countries it means they go into recession, and may soon even have problems with their debt.
What you should also note is that there are people who would love to see the United States of Europe (the bankers), and they own the money and mainstream media here in west (its noy conspiracy theory, its fact).

@Yetze You do find. They just aren't allowed to publish their opinion in Wall Street Journal. Actually most of university economists say theres only two solutions which are either massive money printing or kicking countries with credit problems out of euro.
But the real problem is that the "markets" have gone totally out of control after the deregulation in 80s. Its totally impossible to satisfy them as about 40% of all private capitol/property is in hands of 120 companies (a Swiss study)
-
I'm afraid you are the one missing the point here. Economists and the market both demand more European integeration, for it is known to be the best solution for the current crisis in the Eurozone. The problem is that some countries like France you mentioned are unwilling to sacrifice their sovereignity. You wont find many professors who disagree that the solution for the current crisis is European integration.

@Yetze Only thing which is anymore better in US is living standards, which are also going down rapidly. In other areas its the same as in Russia, but there the government knows the art of propaganda (ever watched Fox News?). Problems regarding US are so complex i cannot describe them here but i encourage you to take a look at infowars.com. Information there can be pretty stunning and theres a lot of speculation, but if u take a look at the sources you should find out whats really going on
-
@Yetze Sorry, but you should study the subject more closely. The problem with EU its rapidly becoming a federation led by Germany, France and Goldman Sachs. We have the debt crisis which could be easily solved - but they are just making it worse and demanding more and more integration, which would otherwise be fine but we are supposed to give our sovereignty to France, Germany and EU bureaucrats instead of democratically elected parliament, which is going to lead to something like in US.
-
Maybe there are some iddues in the US, that doenst mean that the US democracy is a big joke. Obviously a large nation with many people has more issues than a small nations with vast amount of natural riches like Finland. Last time I checked the EU did not invade any country, just some minor interventions during the Yugoslavia crisis. Post war US interventions like the gulfwar and afghanistan can be justified, but Iraq was an obvious mistake. This does not imply democracy has failed us.
-
@Yetze I see. Personally i think Yabloko is absolutely too west-minded. If Russia would join European Union that would be a total doom for Russia, im Finnish and even here many people think we should break out from EU.
The reality is that the old west is good east is evil thing has changed so that the west is evil too. Democracy in US is a bad joke, and they are attacking independent countries in a fashion which would leave even Josif Stalin cold. And EU is becoming the same or even worse
