Cylinders of the 'Prince Consort' engine at the Crossness site. These engines used to pump London's sewage, and are the largest rotative beam engines in the World.

  • Thank-you for your support. We are currently in the middle of a Heritage lottery bid, and If the Olympics doesn't take the money from us, we will be completely redesigning the boiler house side of things, and this will give improved Media, display and catering areas.

  • Yes, I enjoyed Crossness immensely. There were some others at the last running day who have posted photos on FlickR, so you may find you're there too!

    Incidentally, I thought the cafe was v good value too!
