Foxy Brown and L Word star Pam Grier was in Fort Worth, Texas for several days as part of the National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum activities. She read for children at the Fort Worth Library and here she talks about her inspiration for starting the community garden. She discusses her upbringing, her grandfather being the first feminist in her life, and the importance of eating healthy and growing fresh vegetables, to eliminate disease and empower the community. She distributed seed packets to attendees, provided by Subaru. Sorry I couldn't record the whole appearance... check my other videos for excerpts of her reading of "The Buffalo Soldier" by Sherry Garland.

Later I had her sign my L Word promo DVD. I told her how much I enjoyed her storyline with Kelly Lynch. I don't know much about that lifestyle but the love story was beautiful. Pam said she too didn't know much about that life, which is partly why she wanted to explore that story on The L Word.
