  • Lucy and Penny; clearly two female Dobie sisters with energy to spare. Daddy, Torgue, is wise. Let the youngster wear themselves out on each other and give me another treat.

  • Lucy and Penny were two dogs I got for training from different families...turned out they came from the same kennel, not the same litter, though.

Torque is my male, a rescue, neutered....clearly not their Dad :)))

  • Doberman- A canine breed consisting of the cross of a Cat and a Thourghbred...with a little Bozo The Clown thrown in, for good measure.

  • Hahahahahaha! That just about sums it up :)))

  • I grew up with dobies and in the 70's it seemed that EVERYONE docked the ears. After having a weimaraner as an adult I am so for the natural ears! The tails I can hang with but the ears can be screwed up by the most experienced vet thus never standing upright. It doesnt have any purpose like the tail docking and it must be painful for the dog. My weim just turned 10..I might be making an addition to the family and you have beautiful dogs. Are you in the northeast?

  • I'm in TX. The 2 puppies in the video were my training dogs, the big male is my boy, whom I got through a shelter with cropped ears. My female (black) has natural ears. I don't care much about the ears, as long as the dog is sound and healthy

  • Nice to see the ears cropped. They look great!

  • as a pet sitter, I've had two adult Rotties in my lap at one time, purring away. Some Rottie owners don't even know their own dogs are purring, not growling! The only dog which bit me was one of those little Japanese dogs. Large dogs are typically mellow. It's the ankle biters who take off fingers.

  • okay, I'm still afraid of dobermans. I'd rather face a pitbull or Rotwieller any day.

  • how do you have such nice grass with that many dobermans?

  • i had one when i was an infant but he got stolen i didn't remember having one gosh i miss him

  • the song please,,,,,,,,,, is very nice

  • There ain't nothing wrong with little dogs. You must have just encounter some bad dogs. I have a Pomeranian who does obedience and would has never bite anyone. Little dogs just need to be socialize early than there wonderful companions.

  • I can those dogs are liking the song :)

  • Cesar is an 'emotional' trainer, which works with a lot of people who have specific, singular problems. However, when a dog has more substancial problems and ingrained behaviors... or pure types of aggression... then yeah, his approach probably won't save a families dog. But we trainers have a saying... if the method works for you, who am I to judge? So long as nobody (person or dog) gets hurt/abused, and the negative behavior ends, thats enough to save the dogs life most often. ^_^

  • There is no reason to pay more for a female than for a male, or for a red or a black. The only reason to pay more for a female is if you intend to breed... which most people shouldn't or won't want to.

Right on the genes though, its smart to test. Or just get dog health insurance and pick up a rescue dobe, plenty of them out there that make fantastic pets, despite the medical risk.

I have a R/M at home, got him for $250 with all his gear/crate. People didn't think before getting him.

  • red dobies run round 1200 for females (were i live) males are cheaper, black and tan dobies are 650 for females (again were i live) i just got a black and tan female of xmas, had dew claws removed and tail docked all ready so im going to guess that those procedures were included in the cost of the pup, it is also cheaper if you can find a non paperd dog all tough their is no way to know its actually a full bred doberman, or if it has wobblers in its geens as well as the "z" factor "makes albinos

  • as far as i know cesar's traning methods have been proven to be flawed the "pack" mentality is no where as effective as the positive re-inforcment methods that the better dog trainers use.
