I've had that happen to me before. I used hard (bar not liqued) soap in the runners and it seemed to lubricate the plastic enough to make the tambor move correct. I've heard the same can be done with WD40, but i'm afraid to try that. Personally I've never understood why the guides are made out of plastic then nylon would be a much better material to make runners from. Good video to show people that this is a common problem no matter how much you spend on a tambor.

FYI: THIS IS NOT OUR STANDARD DOOR!! This is a demonstration of a metal tambour door. Metal on metal door makes door extremely loud. Our standard tambour door is industrial fennel/ extruded plastic.
