Sure, RedEye is great for controlling your home theater, but what about other things? Customers use RedEye to control all kinds of things - Christmas lights, hot tubs, and now, even a vintage 1969 Pontiac GTO. Thanks to Dave Phipps and his son for sharing this amazing video with us.

  • Dave Phipps is my boss, i've worked for him for 3 years. what you dont see in this video is the bank of relays and wafer boards behind the back seat that he created, wired and mapped himself. red eye, the itouch and router are the only pieces of the system that were not created from scratch by Dave.

  • wouldnt get bored of that rev button

  • Very very nice, my dream car :D

  • Want to rev your car from a distance?

There's an app for that. A FREE app for that.

But the other things you need cost $200.

  • @strictnien Why would he need all that stuff? RedEye works with Infrared. So anything that can be done with a remote you can get for your car, you can do with this. And I've seen a few cars where remotes can do all of these things. It's never all been done by the same remote, but that's the magic of RedEye.

  • Want to rev your sexy car without being in it?

There's an app for that too.

  • This is VERY COOL Dave!

  • @redeyeremote Blog link plz....

  • @redeyeremote Blog link plz... btw awesome hardware (redeye)

  • Now....if I could install that in my future S2000, I would be ecstatic! Until something better came along or if I got another car.

  • That rev thing would be so fun at an parking lot. Just the thought of turning in and revving the car in front of some body to give them a heart attack, and then they realize nobody is in the car.
