I can't see any cleaning, just repetitive ritual behaviour as a response to the intrusive noise but I suppose you have to know a parrot to better interpret what's going on. My grey usually hunkers down waiting to ambush the vacuum if it goes too near her territory.

My mothers grey does the same thing. So she started using a water bottle instead. My grey just watches me. He could care less that I'm vacuuming.
