Up There Australia !

Here is my effort to commemorate Australia Day 2012 the song, Up There Australia ! is a variant of, Up There Cazaly ! composed by Mike Brady & Peter Sullivan.

Up There Cazaly ! became a hit in Australia & has it's origins within The Australian Rules Footballing community, commonly known as AFL. The song has an interesting connection with Australian popular culture & is worth looking up via the net etc.

As far as I can ascertain this variant was also composed & recorded by the same men that composed Up There Cazaly ! A search via You Tube & the net in general by me failed to come up with any hard information concerning this version.

What I can say is it was recorded via Sydney radio station 2GB a few years ago & featured on The Macquarie Network's Ray Hadley Morning Show & can not say I've heard it anywhere else.

Am sure it will be agreed by most this song is stirring & a fitting tune to hear as we approach Australia Day 2012.

2GB is fantastic. We've now got MTR1377 in Melbourne, which is off to a slow start but seems to have a steady audience coming across from ABC and 3AW. You would have enjoyed being at a dinner the boys and I went to before Christmas. The guest of honour was Sam Kekovich who gave an address ... very funny and uproariously un-PC.
