  • I love Lilli Palmer. She was such a wonderful actress and very witty and charming.

  • @Meshugeneh You paint! That's awesome. And thanks for the fingers crossed: I so much hope you're right : )

She is "soft" with you too??...Talking about "tough to resist"...I don't know how you do that : )

...Call?...what exactly do you mean? That I find mine or you mean literal call? : )

  • @Alchimie11 ME TOO! Next time I'm in LA, that's my first stop :D

  • @Meshugeneh Thanks for your words : ) It does make me feel better to know that others feel like me. And yes, you can definitely adore a person for what she is, no strings attached...that Lilli of yours writes...? Another detail and you' ll find me outside your door : D I will let you know when I find mine, or, as you say, when she finds me

    : )

  • Can you believe that I just want to go to LA to visit her grave??...That coincidence if your is very odd indeed. I envy your autographed copy...I wonder if there is another around available for me : ) For now, I am just waiting for my autographed picture that I've bought online. So your friend did meet her??? Thanks for the teaching detail : )

  • I lived in LA for 17 years and was there when she died. Even more synchronistic I was attending a play with Rex Harrison in Beverly Hills when she was at Cedars Sinai and passed. How odd is that? I would visit her grave at Forest Lawn on her birthday and the anniversary of her death. My good friend gave me an autographed copy of her autobiography. If you become an English professor you ought to go to Brooklyn College in New York because that's where Carey teaches.

  • @Meshugeneh I really hope I can find my own or she'll find me, thanks so much. I love talking to people who understand...and I see that you have to watch yourself for not falling for them: I'd be the same for me! Really tough work...similar up to the hairstyle??? ...Incredibly tough work then! : )

  • @sitedezynz ...and I am an English major and going to become and English professor!!!!! Can you believe the coincidence? Of course I am jealous of you for speaking to him : D Big time! I am not German but studied German for years back home, in Italy. And yes, I am a woman too and I agree with you: she just had power over us too, and not a little, as I can see from other people's comments. We are definitely not alone : ) I heard from others that Carey Harrison is a great person...I envy you! : )

  • @Alchimie11 no but thanks for asking. I catch a word or two that I understand but no. I take it you can speak German and/or are German?

I read your post below and I too feel like you and Meshugeneh. I am a woman and you can see the power she had over us as well!! LOL! I did manage to do one thing that may make you quite jealous. I spoke to her son Carey Harrison! He is a professor of English here in the states. He is one of the nicest people you'll ever talk to. That was amazing.

  • @sitedezynz did you ever manage to find it translated?
