This is a great exercise for people with forward shoulder posture. If you have unexplainable and annoying pain about your neck and shoulders you may have muscle imbalances and posture problems.

Read about posture problems and their solutions:

The most important part of the floor cobra exercise is to keep your thumbs pointing up towards the ceiling which means your arms will be externally rotated and shoulders retracted.

Make sure you keep your arms as high as they can go and slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly go through this motion.
