There have been a few people who requested close ups of my interior trim on my E39 5-series. I put this quick video together showing the contrast between the OE wood trim and my "Neffy Wrapped" interior trim. In my opinion the difference is dramatic and it updates the look and feel of the interior of my car to something that would be newer.

I was never a fan of the OEM interior trim on my 2000 BMW 5-series. As the years went on and I started to mod my car to update the look I felt that the wood interior trim kept getting more and more dated. When the E92 M3 came out I saw that the trim was a Carbon Fiber vinyl like material and I liked the dry carbon look vs. the wet carbon look.

  • @ foleygac dude your car looks amazing. two things. when you say prep the the surface. could you give a briefly detailed explanation and i was browsing through your videos but could not find the shadowline conversion actual video. thanks and great job on everything on the car

  • @ib1p I didn't do a video when I did the window trim. I had a hard time doing it and I made a lot of mistakes the first time around. The trim prep consists of sanding the trim lightly to rough the surface up and I used alcohol wipes to clean off any dust and grease that would prevent the adhesive from bonding with the surface.

  • Was this very expensive? Was it easy to install? How well does it hold up?

  • @JUSTADDCHEESE Around $70. And it's held up well. The key to making it stick for a long period of time is preparing the surface correctly.

  • ...Those stickers are more expensive then some of the real carbon fiber fabrics.

  • @Silverjda I spent $70 for 2 square yards, glue, and sandpaper to prep the surface. Pretty cheap.
