@devmaggie disagree on Jim the Jeffries part. Jim Jeffries himself stated he could have never beaten Johnson, even while in his prime. Also throughout the fight, If Jeffries were younger, he would have used the same "brawling" technique, which was ineffective against Johnson's defense. So, NO you are wrong, Johnson still would have whipped Jeffries ass if Jeffries was in his prime at the time at the so-called fight of the century.

To be fair, Ketchel should never had been in the ring with JJ, he wasnt big enough for a true heavyweight, but as a middleweight......he was dynamite!

Not sure of why you posted this? You sound like you're very pleased with the outcome???? Jack Johnson is over rated. Sam Langford Joe Jennette and Sam Mcvey could have beaten him...but HE drew a color line. Refused to fight black fighters. And with that said, you know Jeffries in his prime would have outlasted him.
