Joseph Daniel Jebson, 53, DeWitt, Iowa, died Friday morning, December 29, 2006 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Joseph Daniel Jebson was born May 5, 1953 in DeWitt, Iowa, the son of John and Dena (Marchik) Jebson. Joe served in the Army and worked at Claussen Warehouse as a transportation technican.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt. Joe loved farming and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Surviving are his mother, Dena Jebson, DeWitt; daughters, Denise (Mrs. Chris) Hornsby, Rochester, Minnesota and Megan Pregler, Ada, Oklahoma; sons, Daniel Jebson and his fiancée Leslie, Rochester, Jeremy Denahey, Bettendorf; grandchildren, Amber Jebson, Kaitlyn Hornsby, Darion Jebson, Joseph Hornsby, Madison Jebson, Dakota Jebson and Jonathan Denahey; sisters, Theresa (Ted) Batey, Denmark, Iowa, Kathy Sanderson, Delmar, Iowa, Lydia (Bill) Kruse, and Janet Carr, DeWitt; brothers, John Jebson, DeWitt, Jim Jebson, Davenport, Iowa, and Steve (Becca) Jebson, Warner Robins, Georgia.

Preceding Joe in death was his father, John Jebson, who died January 11, 2002.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 2 until 6 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2006. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday January 1, 2007 in the Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Fr. H. Robert Harness officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt. Military rites will be conducted by Eugene McManus Post #238 at graveside.

Pallbearers will be Steve Jebson, John Jebson, Jeremy Denahey, Daniel Jebson, John Costello and Dale Wall.
