Mimiking the nightengale in this aria is very difficult as it requires supreme flexibility and control of vocals. Only the best castrati singers were able to pull his off. Aris, bravo!!!

@konigdernacht CASTRATI HAD NOT WARM VOICES, THEY HAD METALLIC WHITE VOICES EVEN MORE METALLIC AND WHITE THAN A BOY SOPRANO. WOMEN HAVE WARM VOICES. NEVER IS A MAN LIKE A WOMAN, EITHER CASTRATO OR SOPRANIST.

Christofelli's voice is just about perfect for stormy baroque pieces like vivaldi's aggressive arias, you cannot get any better.

It is unappropriate to compare Christofellis' voice with a natural castrato: first because we have only one recording of a real castrato (Moreschi) done in 1902 - and I would like to remember that his repertoire was mainly sacred; second, Christofellis'voice has very few qualities similar to those ascribed to (real) castrati's voice: tenderness, agility, warmth, homogeneity, endless breath...
