I've always been a big fan of Frank Zappa and Tom Waits, even though their music is quite different. I was very suprised when I found out, they did some shows together in the early seventies. Well, It's all good jazz, I suppose. Both are very original!

I still can't tell how the guitar player from Hot Rats/Chunga/FloEddie became the guitarist of Apostrophe and beyond. Hints were there, but I've never heard anyone else make such a dramatic leap after they were an established name.

I just love Frank.
He may have seemed aloof about his music but I don't think so, he just did it and moved on.
I particularly love this video because he looks positively giddy at
when he hears the goofy voice effect.
Remember the goofy voice effect here is 1974, not 2009.
You just have to like Ruth Underwood too.
