The real world record does really belong to a player in Norway. In an official match (3. level in Norway) he throwed 59,3 meters. The only reason for that the throw wasn't acknowleged was that it was too much headwind.

@RhysonXbox are you sure it's a legal throw-in for the modern game, I mean it's allowed in the rule books to do this kind of throw-in during matches?? I'm not too sure but if it is then that's cool and hope we see more of it because I have almost never seen this type of throw-in performed in the top professional leagues...maybe because it looks weird or unconventional...lol

@Succeskultur yoju dont even have the world record anymore, a teacher at my school does

Did the wind not play a part in that? I know he can throw it miles anyway, but it sounded a bit windy.
There are no rules acording to wind-assistance.
If you are going to beat the official Guinness World record, you have to apply before the attempt...
It could be fun to see video-footage of the Norwegian who threw 59,3 meters :-)

@beeniefide I would like to work with Chelseas players. They could use some players who can throw it far.
Many times they have a fysical advantage, so in games like VS. Barcelona the long throw-in (with a normal run-in) could help them.
Just give them the link throwin.dk - then I will help them :-)

The wind It ads 2 or 3 meters - but you have to have good conditions to set a world record :-)
