Plywood canvas, light reactive paint, Aluminium, PCB, rapid prototyped parts, motor, stainless steel rails, computer.

This object is a machine that temporarily paints any pixel-based images or text with light. It uses a special, light reactive material as a canvas which allows the image to remain visible for about 45 seconds to 1 minute. The painting then fades away, creating space for a new one immediately.

  • hom much does that cost ?

  • Great idea.

Is it sensitive to ambient conditions?

Does the light reactive paint have a limited number of "cycles"?

    Is it noisy?

    Boring questions, sorry.

  • Neat - but it wouldn't hurt if it was just slightly time-lapsed.

  • They use that to print the paychecks around here.

  • its pretty cool...
