yeah! while this band may not have the greatest technical talent out there, their songwriting and vibe are great. sometimes with folk music i think having too good a voice or too much technical skill can actually distract from the rawness of the lyrics or roughness/immediacy of the emotions generated (think bob dylan). i feel empowered when i hear bands who are so effective despite abundant technical talent, since it makes me believe in myself more as a songwriter!
