Traditional two piston Stirling Engine with power piston and displacer.
Brass cylinder and aluminium piston. Several hours of polishing is often needed to achieve a gas tight but frictionless fit in the power piston - impossible of course. The displacer has a healthy clearance between piston and cylinder so hot and cold air can change places.
