Orgeneral Abdülresit DOSTUM 1954'inci yilda Sibirgan / Suburgan kentinin Hoca Dükkü adlı ilçesinde yasayan bir Özbeg ailesinde doğmuş, en az yüzyıllardan beri sömürülmüş ve türlü baskılar altında kalmiş Afganistan Türkleri'nin bir ulusal (kahramani) olarak taninan kisidir.

Hiçbir ordu lisesi yada yüksek okulda okumayan, ancak 80'inci yıllarda Sibirgan kentinde sadece bir isçi olarak çalisan DOSTUM, bu yılların siyasal ve toplumsal durumu yüzünden kendi is sahasını devlet karşıtlarının saldırısından korumasi için, ona verilen görevlerde kendinden gösterdiği nitelikleri üstünlükleri yüzünden Orgeneral rütbesine kadar yükselen bir subaydir. DOSTUM'u gerçekten tanımak istersek, onu yetistiren sartlarla onun bağlı olduğu budunu tanımamız gerekir.

Ilk kez ondokuzuncu yüzyılda Ingilizler arkali Avganistan [=Afganistan, demek Afgan, Petan yada Pestun sözçügü ile anglamdas olan Avganlar yurtu] adı verilen topraklar, Türk varliği ile kentleşme ve uygarlıklarının ilk beşiklerinden biridir.

well dostum is a key player in afghan politics he changed so many regims and played it very well.. he controled mazar sharif where all educated ppl flee from kabul and every where and lived in a better life in that time.. any way dostum is a present and past and if godwels a future too.. we milions of northren ppl love him and accept him as a leader who did so far good for his ppl.ur bad comments about dostum would make ppl abuse ur father so dont do that let his soul in peace

Mr. Dostum loves hunting the Taliban's, its his specialty...lol Every time the Taliban's surrenders to him, Mr. Dostum kills the foreigners (smelly Paki's and big nose Arabs and others)  and lets the Afghans walk free...He never lets any Paki walk away alive...True hunter!
