the song is call "smich" and its the first track on the Iva Bittová/Pavel Fajt 1987 album.

I checked the Step Across the Border soundtrack, but the only track besides "Morning Song" Iva is listed on is one called "Lost and Found" but there she's listed as playing alongside someone playing beercans, so I can only assume that that song isn't on the soundtrack

This is a avant-garde documentary about Fred Frith called "Step across the border". Iva is shown only in two scenes in this film(this and another one called "Morning song"). Anyway, I think it's really worth watching ;)
