This is a lift I thought up about a month ago and thought I would share how to perform it and what I believe the benefits are. I didn't do any squats over the summer so that I could focus on event training for three different strongman contests (bad idea) and went from setting a PR of 425 on May 10th to only being able to get 315 X 3 on Sept. 3rd (granted that was after deadlifts and yoke, so I probably could have gotten a little more had I been fresh). I didn't do any more squats until Sept. 30th when I did my first session of Hole Squats. I did four more weeks of Hole Squats and the following week switched back to regular squats. I was hoping for 405, but ended up surprising myself with a new PR of 430! These things work!
