Nabaté Isles features former All-Pro Safety for the San Francisco 49ers, Merton Hanks. Merton appeared in 4 Pro Bowls (1994-97 seasons) and was a key member of the Super Bowl XXIX Championship Niners squad. He's currently Director of Football Operations and Development for the National Football League.
In this segment, Merton talks about his ascent to become one of the best defensive backs of the NFL during the mid-1990's, the sense of urgency for the 1994 San Francisco 49ers to get back to the top of the football world, the greatness of the Niners' secondary in 1994 (him, Deion Sanders, Tim McDonald, and Eric Davis), & where his 'chicken dance' originated from.
