On arrival, most of the hens are in terrible condition - plagued by illness and psychological problems and predominantly without feathers.

The sound of these hens and roosters, especially those low-voice sounds, are so calm, contented and peaceful. They remind me of my childhood in the countryside. Back then I took live poultry for granted but now living in big city it seems like Paradise lost. I love to listen to this and saved it to listen again. Very nice bird songs too!

I'm happy these hens were saved. Such nice birds.

I can't understand how anyone can buy battery eggs after seeing the horrendous conditions these poor creatures go through
