I heard of this song by reading trivia on The Clash. It is possible that the Clash hit "Train in Vain" was a response to this song, since this song mentions women standing by their men, and the Clash's Mick Jones broke up with Slits' guitarist Viv Albertine shortly before he wrote "Train in Vain."
