This song, this performance makes me want to break down and cry. Such a beautiful passionate song and with Jewel singing it is like your heart crying aloud to feel any thing... forgot how much I admired her and her music.

A sweet angelic voice which rings of vulnerability, a vibrato, often deep and slow, lingering. Early work has strong poetic quality, breathy voice softens sharp highs, quick dips to lower register adds some rich texture and balances. Presentation of this music style is not well suited to large crowds.When she deviates from original style everything else sounds stale and lacks depth. Seems artistically conflicted or in transition. Hope she stays true to herself and style. I like this song.

So if no one cares about what you say, and you say it anyway, it is a lot like wanking, isn't it? In fact, that is what the definition of pleasuring yourself is. I understand you would rather believe you're Jewel's special one and valiant defender, but you're not. But go on, do your job, buy her records, defend her, believe in the perfect people in the sky. Someone so aware of what she does, all her little intonations... it *would* make one think there's a very sensitive and sincere person singing. But I'm afraid it is quite the opposite. It seems to be all about her... how she sounds... and what that would imply about her... I don't believe anything she says... to me this is skilled fakeness. She knows... I can see that she knows. This is not beautiful. Lies aren't beautiful.
