Heng Long 1/16th scale radio controlled Sturmgeschutz III. Modified with metal tracks, sprockets and idlers. TamToys brass low-profile gearboxes. Added schurtzen from sheet steel. Suspension still needs softening though and I'm waiting for Darkith's IR combat electronics.

  • I'm very impressed with the additional detail that you have put on this already great model. The Schuertzen are very well done as are the bits and pieces on the rear decking.

    Great Job!

  • @tacfoley :- Thanks Tac, your kind words are much appreciated. Glad you like it.

    Regards Chris.

  • my non sound and smoke panzer doesn't turn on the ground very well, do metal tracks and gearboxes help? i'm getting a stug and don't want it to have the same problem.

  • @DaveVonCarstein My tanks are all upgraded to the hi-torque metal gearboxes (an extra gear wheel is fitted in these gearboxes to gain more power but lower speed). Hope this helps.

  • Oww...nice! I am just wondering how did you make the hooks that can carry the Armour plates?

  • @Taka29 Thanks. The rails and hooks were made from sheet steel bolted to the model. The web address to actual build thread can be found in the more info section.
