My 9-year-old son and our rescued Appaloosa mare, Teyla. An unlikely combination. Who'd have thought a horse with her background of neglect and mistreatment would be able to carry a little boy with such care?

Appys are smart horses. That's great how you took Teyla in and made her part of your family! They oughta put people away for life mis-treating horses-animals, period!
