As you says Legato Link has improved audio circuits, but I've just opened the top of my CLD-99 and beneath the cupper cover of the card it appears that something is missing: there are two connectors with only pins with no connectiona at all. Is your laserdisc this way also?
Thanks my friend...

The CLD 99 remote is what I bought to operate the HF9G, it lacks one main feature that sets them apart, that is LD+G, a CD+G type mode for LaserDisc based Karaoke. However, there are no mic jacks on these so LD+G is used on a few rare discs where often it's just Japanese subtitles

Hi.
I have also this laserdisc player, the Pioneer CLD-99, but I have a problem with the sound, it soud´s very bad and very low, very bad if you play laserdiscs but worse if you play CD's on it.
I want to ask you if this laserdisc model needs special connections or if it can be connected to a tv set.
I don't have the remote and I don't know if there are some sound adjustments that only can be made by the remote, and therefore can affect the sound reproduction.
I will appreciate your help !!

@fdosilva The CLD 99 and HF9G are essentially the same, but I have no way to know for sure, in regard to audio board replacement, but perhaps that would be something to locate, make sure it's top mounted (I believe they echo the style used in D703 and 704. However, Legato Link is found in the Elite series, which means improved audio circuits and they have to mate to the same plugs (ribbon cables used on these Pioneer)
