At the time DDP (Diamond Dallas Page) was the hottest young heel in WCW that everyone wanted to see and cheer, This was his face turn and they obviously saw something in him as this was one of the rare times when NWO were made vunerable.

I was at this show, in the Superdome in New Orleans. The pop for the diamond cutter was ABSURD!!

But DDP was not a YOUNG heel. Dude started in ring at 34 years old in 1991. He was already 39ish right here. DDP was a lot of things, but YOUNG was not one of them.

Great angle though... Remember this show well.

Ah, remember the WCW glory days like it was yesterday. This was a great moment, great booking. DDP was the over heel, and everyone was turning NWO, and the NWO was invulnerable at this point. Fans went nuts when he hit the Diamond Cutter. I think DDP even managed to beat Syxx and a couple others clean on TV right after this. He was really booked strong, and this made his career.
