Allen LaMar 'Al' Wilson (June 19, 1939 April 21, 2008) was an American soul singer best known for the million-selling #1 Gold-certified hit "Show And Tell", a popular song written by Jerry Fuller and first recorded by Johnny Mathis in 1972. The 1973 recording of the song by Al Wilson reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for one week on January 19, 1974, sold over two million copies and was named a Cashbox Magazine Number One Single of the Year. Wilson's version also made number ten on the Hot Soul Singles chart. • Intrersting how brothers use to smile back in those days. Nobody trying to act hard just smooth and collective.

  • Facebook told me this was the number 1 song when I was born 38 years ago tomorrow. Nice. I hope people were grooving out to this at the hospital I was born at.

  • Playa sounds!

  • No better music. PERIOD.

  • Another song from my preteen years that I'll never forget. Sounds as smooth now as it did when I first heard it at age 10. Pretty good musical taste for a blonde haired 10 year old. ;)

  • where has this music gone

  • hi

  • the stupid 60's commercials brought me here, ha.

  • such a great singer, such a great hit, too bad he died, oh well.

  • Oh, man...Al Wilson sang this song with all of his heart, God bless him!! What electrical eyes and a beautiful smile this man had; emotion was all over his face. And, in his music. Thank you, Al Wilson, and thank you, djbuddyloveoldschool. Old School Forever!!!
