I thought I would put up two versions of the same episode. It is difficult to pick one sometimes. There may be a different feeling in each. Let me know what you think.

In this episode we play the Meditation from the Opera Thais by Jules Massenet.

The Thais comes from an interlude towards the end of the opera. It is usually played on the violin. It is marked Andante Religioso and there is a reflective mood throughout.

This piece is special to me because, over the years, my mother has played it in church on the violin. I wanted to do a good job with it. We hope you enjoy it.

It is very nice, beautiful! My son played this piece in his senior recital. I only knew played by the violin. This is my favorite piece, and I listen to this so often played by many well-known violinists; and I like Kreisler's best. He can play his teacher's piece well, I think. Massenet is one of his composing teacher. Thank you so much for posting!

the cello has some what has a richer tone because of the thicker strings so has a lot of good overtones

Bravo! And all done in one cut:D I love the cello, and what makes it even more special is that not everyone plays the cello. It is the most beautiful instrument, in my opinion, but I am a little biased...

Not to be offenceive but isn't the tempo a bit slow..? I play the same song on my clarinet and the tempo is faster on it...... I do love the melody though..... It's beautiful in it's own way ^^
